21 central streets of Ho Chi Minh City banned from traffic on New Year's Eve

HCMC - On the evening of January 28 (29th of Lunar New Year), many downtown streets were closed to traffic to organize New Year's Eve activities, creating space for people to have fun and watch fireworks.

From 8:30 p.m. on January 28 to 0:30 a.m. on January 29, vehicles are prohibited from entering the following roads:

- Le Loi (from Pasteur to Dong Khoi).

- Nguyen Hue (section from Le Thanh Ton to Ton Duc Thang).

- Dong Khoi (section from Mac Thi Buoi to Ton Duc Thang).

- Ton Duc Thang (from Nguyen Sieu to Khanh Hoi bridge).

- Vo Van Kiet (section from Ho Tung Mau to Khanh Hoi bridge underpass).

- Ngo Van Nam (from Nguyen Sieu to Ton Duc Thang).

- Nguyen Sieu (from Ngo Van Nam to Ton Duc Thang).

- Nguyen Tat Thanh (section from Hoang Dieu to Khanh Hoi bridge).

- Ham Nghi (section from Ho Tung Mau to Ton Duc Thang).

- Hai Trieu (section from Ho Tung Mau to Nguyen Hue).

- Nguyen Thiep (section from Dong Khoi to Nguyen Hue).

- Huynh Thuc Khang (section from Ho Tung Mau to Nguyen Hue).

- Ton That Thiep (section from Ho Tung Mau to Nguyen Hue).

- Ngo Duc Ke (section from Dong Khoi to Ho Tung Mau).

Direction from Binh Thanh District to District 4: Follow Nguyen Huu Canh – Ton Duc Thang – Nguyen Du – Cach Mang Thang Tam – Nguyen Thi Nghia – Nguyen Thai Hoc – Ong Lanh Bridge – Hoang Dieu – Nguyen Tat Thanh.

Direction from District 4 to Binh Thanh District: Nguyen Tat Thanh – Hoang Dieu – Ong Lanh Bridge – Nguyen Thai Hoc – Nguyen Thi Nghia – Cach Mang Thang Tam – Nguyen Thi Minh Khai – Xo Viet Nghe Tinh.

Direction from Thu Duc City to District 3, 5: Vo Nguyen Giap - Dien Bien Phu - Dinh Tien Hoang - Vo Thi Sau - Ba Thang Hai - Le Hong Phong.

Direction from District 3, 5 to Thu Duc City: Le Hong Phong - Dien Bien Phu - Vo Nguyen Giap.

For routes leading to Me Linh Square: Only traffic is allowed towards Me Linh Square, not towards Dong Khoi.

To ensure safety, vehicles are prohibited from stopping, parking and gathering to watch fireworks on major bridges such as: Thu Thiem, Binh Loi, Binh Trieu, Mong, Calmette, Ong Lanh, Hang Xanh intersection, Go Dua intersection, Phu My, Nguyen Huu Canh, Kenh Thanh Da, Saigon and Rach Chiec.

Ho Chi Minh City will fire high-altitude fireworks at two locations: the Saigon River Tunnel (Thu Duc City) and Ben Duoc Martyrs Memorial Area (Cu Chi District).

13 low-altitude fireworks displays will be held in the following areas:

Thu Duc City: Thao Dien urban area, Saigon River area near Rach Chiec bridge (shot on barge) and Ben Noc Memorial Temple.

Nha Be: Rach Dia bridge area.

District 11: Dam Sen Cultural Park.

Binh Chanh: Memorial area of ​​the 1968 Tet Offensive and Uprising.

Cu Chi: Northwest Industrial Park.

Can Gio: Memorial Temple for Martyrs of Sac Forest.

District 7: Central administrative square.

District 12: 38-hectare Residential Park, Tan Thoi Nhat Ward.

Go Vap: Peace Square.

Hoc Mon: Nga Ba Giong Martyrs Memorial Area.
