From early morning, officers and soldiers of Cua Viet Port Border Guard Station (Quang Tri Border Guard Command) coordinated with local authorities and people to rescue 3 sunken boats.
Previously, people brought 2 boats to anchor in Quarter 6, 1 boat anchored in Quarter 5 (Cua Viet Commune, Quang Tri Province) to avoid storm No. 10. Due to strong gusts of wind and heavy rain, the three boats sank.
On the morning of September 29, the forces coordinated to pull 3 boats ashore, and the items and fishing gear were also salvaged in time, reducing damage to the boat owner.
Previously, also in the Cua Viet port area, on the morning of September 28, 2 fishing boats had an accident when they reached shore to take shelter from the storm. 9 crew members were rescued and brought to shore safely, 2 crew members are currently missing, and the forces are searching.
