3 people seriously burned due to forest fire fighting in Dien Bien

Dien Bien - While participating in forest fire fighting in Na Sang border commune, 4 people were injured, including 3 people with severe burns.

On April 4, Na Sang Forest Protection Department (Dien Bien Provincial Forest Protection Sub-Department) said that at about 1:30 pm on April 3, a forest fire occurred in the forest area of residential group 1, Na Sang commune.

Due to the rugged terrain, steep slopes, difficult access, along with dry weather and strong winds, the fire spread quickly, causing many difficulties for firefighting work.

During the fire fighting process, 4 people were injured. Among them, 3 seriously injured people were transferred to Dien Bien Provincial General Hospital for treatment; 1 person with minor burns is being treated at Na Sang Medical Center.

The identities of the 3 patients with severe burns are all residing in residential group 1, Na Sang commune, including:

Lo Van N (born 1973) suffered burns degree 2-3 with an area of about 90% of his body, and burns degree 4 on both legs.

Lu Van T (born 1983) suffered burns degree 2-3, the area of damage is about 95% of his body.

Lo Van B (born 2001) suffered burns of degree 2-3, the area of damage is about 95% of his body.

Currently, all 3 patients are being monitored and actively treated at the Emergency Department, Dien Bien Provincial General Hospital.
