The project to renovate and expand Nguyen Tuan Street according to the planning is one of the key tasks in 2024 of Thanh Xuan District and Thanh Xuan Trung Ward. The project was approved in 2018, with a total investment of about 400 billion VND.
According to the report of the authorities, as of 11:00 a.m. on October 12, 2024, only 34/160 households have not agreed to receive compensation and hand over the land to implement the project of Renovation and expansion according to the planning of Nguyen Tuan street.
Initially, it was expected that by the end of 2022, Thanh Xuan district would approve all compensation plans for site clearance. By mid-2023, the project would be implemented and the road expansion would be completed after 1 year. However, to date, the project has not been able to be implemented due to site clearance issues.
Thanh Xuan District People's Committee said that according to the report of the authorities, as of 11:00 a.m. on October 12, 2024, only 34/160 households have not agreed to receive money and hand over the land to implement the renovation and expansion project according to the planning of Nguyen Tuan street.
The District People's Committee has assigned relevant units to continue to carry out propaganda and mobilize households and individuals to agree to hand over the premises before the enforcement time.
According to Decision No. 2527/QD-UBND dated September 23, 2024 of Thanh Xuan District People's Committee on approving the plan to organize the enforcement of land recovery in cases of non-compliance with the handover of land for project implementation, the district will organize enforcement. In which, 2,479.64m2 of land and constructions on land of households and individuals who do not agree to receive money and hand over land for project implementation will be recovered. The enforcement period will take place from October 14, 2024.
According to the announcement from Thanh Xuan District People's Committee, the project to renovate and expand Nguyen Tuan Street according to the planning with a total land area of 14,334m2, belonging to 11 organizations and 160 households and individuals.
The project starts at Nguyen Trai Street and ends at Lane 162 Nguyen Tuan, 720m long, expanded on the existing road. The route will have a cross-section of 21m, including a 15m wide roadway and 3m wide sidewalks on both sides.
According to Lao Dong, Nguyen Tuan Street currently has a dense construction density of nearly 6,000 apartments on a road only 720m long.
The route connects with many other routes and streets such as: Nguyen Huy Tuong, Nguy Nhu Kom Tum, Le Van Luong and especially Nguyen Trai. However, for a long time, Nguyen Tuan Street has been considered a traffic bottleneck because the entire route has a "bottleneck" position with a very narrow road surface area.
Along both sides of this "bottleneck" section of the road, shops are lined up closely, and many spots have sidewalks and roads occupied.
It is expected that by mid-October 2024, the land acquisition and site clearance for the Nguyen Tuan Street upgrade and expansion project will be basically completed. The local government will then hand over the site to the investor and contractor to complete the project.
The project is expected to be completed in 2025, expected to reduce traffic congestion, bring urban landscape as well as create momentum for socio-economic development in Thanh Xuan Trung ward and Thanh Xuan district.
