Quang Ninh - Urban infrastructure, especially roads in Ha Long, are increasingly spacious thanks in part to the support and land donations of thousands of households.

According to the People's Committee of Ha Long City, on December 31, 2020, the Standing Committee of the Ha Long City Party Committee issued Resolution No. 21-NQ/TU on investment, renovation and upgrading of infrastructure in residential areas and urban areas formed before 2005 in the city. After 4 years of implementing Resolution 21, Ha Long City has received the joint efforts and consensus of the majority of people in the city.

During the 4 years of implementing Resolution 21, the city has approved 249 investment projects with a total investment of over 1,330 billion VND. These projects are mainly to renovate and upgrade traffic infrastructure, renovate and build new cultural houses, build new entertainment areas, etc.

Of these, 140 projects use city budget capital; 63 projects use ward budget capital and mobilize social capital; 46 projects have approved investment policies.

It is worth noting that during the implementation of the projects, the city received great support from the people when 3,450 households voluntarily donated land with a total area of 41,518m2 and many constructions on the land. The total value of donated land and constructions is equivalent to over 280 billion VND.

From the combination of the city budget and the active contributions of the people, 153 projects have been completed and put into use, and 50 projects are being actively constructed and completed.

The completed projects have been invested synchronously, thoroughly solving the flooding problem in many areas, ensuring traffic safety and improving the quality of life of the people. Many residential areas in the city have a new, spacious and beautiful appearance, in line with the orientation of building Ha Long City into a modern and civilized urban area.
