HCMC V-Green Bridge Charging Station Development Joint Stock Company (under Vingroup Corporation) proposed to deploy 35 locations for installing electric vehicle charging stations.

The Office of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee has just announced the conclusion of the Chairman of the City People's Committee at a meeting of the Special Working Group on removing difficulties for works and projects, including the proposal of V-Green Toan Cau Charging Station Development Joint Stock Company related to the implementation of the system of car and electric motorbike charging stations at public places.

The Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee assigned the Department of Construction to urgently review and update the planning towards developing green transport infrastructure, including a charging station system and providing clean fuel. The arrangement will prioritize the use of public land funds managed by the State, minimizing land belonging to households and individuals.

The new planning must ensure safety, urban beauty, effective land exploitation and avoid waste. At the same time, the Department of Construction is required to optimize administrative procedures, not collect opinions from unrelated agencies, and proactively implement according to functions and tasks.

In parallel with the planning process, the Department of Construction will advise the City People's Committee on a plan to exploit public land to arrange a charging station. Land lease must comply with legal regulations and be conducted through a public and transparent auction method.

The city also requested to urgently develop and issue regulations and instructions on the installation of charging stations, ensuring fire safety, security and order, as well as compliance with planning, avoiding traffic impacts. At the same time, study incentive mechanisms to encourage businesses and people to invest in developing green energy infrastructure.

Regarding the proposal of V-Green Bridge Charging Station Development Joint Stock Company regarding 35 locations for installing electric vehicle charging stations, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee assigned the Department of Construction to coordinate with relevant units to determine specific locations on the field and drawings. On that basis, the Department will synthesize and propose feasible plans and implementation roadmaps in accordance with legal regulations, and submit them to the Standing Committee of the City People's Committee.

The City People's Committee acknowledged the cooperation proposal between V-Green and Thanh Nien Xung Phong Public Service Company Limited to combine public parking lot exploitation with the installation of charging stations. This solution is expected to optimize the efficiency of using public land funds, while facilitating people's access to charging services.

The City People's Committee recommends that V-Green proactively work with Thanh Nien Xung Phong Public Service Company to agree on a cooperation plan and report to competent authorities for consideration and decision in accordance with legal regulations.
