"The incident happened on the afternoon of October 9, more than 40 students of the school showed symptoms of vomiting, fever, and diarrhea. Before that, they had lunch at the school cafeteria, and in the afternoon of the same day, they showed symptoms, so the school discovered them and took them to the hospital for examination," said Mr. Dat.
According to Mr. Hoang Quoc Dat, the health of the students has gradually stabilized, the symptoms of vomiting and diarrhea have disappeared. Some people have been discharged from the hospital since last night, and about 40 students are still being monitored at the hospital.
"Last night and this morning, relevant medical units took samples for testing. Whether or not there was poisoning cannot be confirmed yet and requires a conclusion from a professional agency," added the Principal of Lao Cai College.
Previously, information from Hung Thinh General Hospital, the unit is receiving and treating 40 students of Lao Cai College with symptoms of digestive disorders.
According to Director of Hung Thinh General Hospital Nguyen Quang Minh: Patients were admitted to the hospital with vomiting, abdominal pain, and diarrhea, and are currently being treated mainly in the Internal Medicine Department. Some patients with additional symptoms of fever are being monitored and treated in the Emergency Resuscitation Department.
Immediately after receiving the patient, the hospital examined him, made a medical record, and administered specific medications and intravenous fluids. Currently, the patient's condition is stable, with no serious complications.
