At address 43 Nguyen Van Ba, Thu Duc ward, the Ho Chi Minh City Public Administration Service Center has operated to serve people and businesses.
Records on December 31 show that the working space is modern, spacious, and airy, and the reception - result return counters are scientifically arranged according to the process of receiving - processing dossiers. The waiting area has seats, computers to look up information to help people find procedure information.
The center has a scale of 2 floors, 6 functional areas, 61 reception counters, with officials directly guiding. Diverse service areas: Justice, Home Affairs, Health, Construction, Tourism, Planning - Architecture... The average time from taking the number to receiving the appointment slip is only 5-10 minutes, significantly shortening the waiting time.
Ms. Tuyet Van (living in Phu Thanh ward) said: "Addresses are easy to find, very convenient for people. Having a bank makes applying even more convenient. Previously, construction permits or naturalization required going to many places, now concentrated at one point, so just coming here is enough to get directions from the right agency, not having to run through many wards and districts as before.
In addition to transactions at the counter, the center also strengthens technology applications, arranges search computers, and consulting chatbot robots. In the near future, the center will have a technology product demonstration area, creating a convenient experience while waiting for application processing.
Notably, during the inspection of operation on the morning of December 31, Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Duoc and the working delegation traveled by metro line No. 1 (Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien) to the Public Administration Service Center. Through experience, leaders assessed that public transport connection helps access public services more conveniently, reducing traffic pressure and travel costs.
According to Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Manh Cuong, the Public Administration Service Center is proof of the commitment to transform the management method from command to service, after a serious preparation process. The Center is officially ready to receive - resolve - return procedural results to people and businesses.
To make the Public Administration Service Center operate substantively, effectively, and sustainably, the Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee proposed to implement 4 tasks:
First, the Office of the City People's Committee coordinates with the Department of Home Affairs and departments and agencies to monitor activities, support removal of obstacles; ensure smooth reception and return of results; invest in modern facilities, build a friendly and professional environment.
Second, departments and branches review - improve procedures, publicize and transparentize processes, shorten resolution time; promote digitization of shared data; deploy receiving - returning results regardless of administrative boundaries.
Third, the Department of Science and Technology coordinates with the Digital Transformation Center and the Office of the City People's Committee to upgrade information technology infrastructure, ensuring connection from the city to the commune level; linking the center's activities with the strategy of digital transformation and innovation.
Fourth, the Center promotes the role of focal point for administrative procedure reform, proposing solutions to improve processes; monitoring the progress of dossier processing; providing information through the digital government platform to serve online management leaders; improving discipline and order. Each cadre and civil servant needs to be dedicated and responsible, building the Center into a reliable address for people and businesses.
It is known that this is the first centralized public administrative center of Ho Chi Minh City, formed on the basis of bringing the one-stop-shop departments of departments and branches to the same location, creating favorable conditions for receiving and processing administrative procedures.
