On April 12, representatives of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Traffic Safety Board and the Suoi Dau commune government visited and encouraged the victims in the traffic accident that occurred at Hon Ba Pass, who are currently being treated at Khanh Hoa General Hospital.
Previously, at about 12:00 on April 10, Mr. Nguyen Chi Thanh (born in 1985, residing in Ho Chi Minh City) was driving a Toyota Fortuner car, license plate 51G-379xx, traveling on the Hon Ba pass route towards Suoi Dau lake.
When reaching Km20+700, the section passing through Suoi Lau 2 village (Suoi Dau commune, Khanh Hoa), the car suddenly lost control, plunged to the right side of the road and crashed into a water ditch along the mountainside.
The accident killed Mr. V.N. L (born 1958, Canadian nationality) on the way to the emergency room. 5 others were injured, including 1 seriously injured person, who was taken to Khanh Hoa General Hospital for emergency treatment.
According to doctors, the victims were admitted to the hospital in a state of multiple injuries such as limb fracture, spinal injury, pneumothorax and epidural hematoma.
Immediately after receiving them, the hospital urgently performed surgery, emergency treatment, and closely monitored cases of traumatic brain injury and spinal injury.
To date, the patients have passed the critical condition, are awake, have good contact and are continuing to be treated at specialized departments to recover their health.
At the visit, the working delegation presented gifts and sent words of sharing and encouragement to the victims and their families, hoping that the patients would recover soon and stabilize their lives.
