On the morning of September 23, at Tran De Border Guard Station, Trung Binh Border Guard Station received 5 fishermen in distress at sea after being discovered, rescued and brought ashore by a fishing boat.
Previously, at about 8 pm on September 22, Trung Binh Border Guard Station received information from Mr. Nguyen Van Hao (owner of vehicle CM-92044-TS), about the vehicle encountering an accident at sea at coordinates 09°07'46"N - 106°27'33"E (about 24 nautical miles from Tran De fishing port).
At the time of the incident, there were 5 fishermen on board, including: Mr. Tran Phuoc Nghiem (born in 1990, Captain); Mr. Nguyen Hoang Thach (born in 1992); Mr. Vo Van Toan (born in 1997), Mr. Ly Van Tinh (born in 2000) and Mr. Nguyen Quoc Hiep (born in 1987) from Ca Mau province.
Immediately after receiving the information, Trung Binh Border Guard Station reported to the City Border Guard Command, and at the same time directed and notified vehicles operating near the area to organize search and rescue.
In addition, the unit is implementing coordinated measures to promptly support fishermen in distress.
At 8:30 PM on the same day, fishing vessel CM-08032-TS captained by Mr. Le Van Phuc (born in 1979, Sa Bau hamlet, Thuan Hoa commune, Can Tho city) announced that it had discovered and rescued 5 fishermen on vessel CM -92044-TS.
At about 8:50 am on September 23, fishing vessel CM-08032-TS brought 5 fishermen to Tran De Border Guard Station to hand over to functional forces.
Trung Binh Border Guard Station has sent unit officers and military medical staff to organize the reception and health check for fishermen.
After receiving, Trung Binh Border Guard Station continued to monitor, take care of health, complete necessary procedures and coordinate with families to support bringing fishermen back to their localities.
