The Ha Long Bay - Yen Tu World Heritage Management Board has just ended a month of simultaneous deployment, strengthening management and supervision of tourism activities in Ha Long Bay.
Accordingly, the Ha Long Bay - Yen Tu World Heritage Management Board organized 25 patrols and inspections; discovered 32 violations of security and order, traffic safety, proposed fines of 25,250,000 VND; including 3 cases of tailing tourist boats to sell goods.
The Board has also proposed to temporarily suspend the contract of 15 tourist boats to anchor and operate at ports, wharves, and water areas in Ha Long Bay (including Bai Tu Long Bay). These boats have acts of letting other vehicles cling to and tie to their vehicles while on their way to sell goods and services to tourists; not arranging enough people to work on the boat, arranging people without sufficient qualifications and professional certificates as prescribed...
At the same time, working and propagating to 3 ship owners and captains of tourist boats about complying with not allowing tourists to bring down to the boat to use disposable plastic products.
In addition, the Board has sent to the People's Committee of Cat Hai Special Zone (Hai Phong City) a request to handle 5 tourist boats taking tourists to visit Ha Long Bay illegally, not complying with Ha Long Bay entrance fees. Currently, there is still no tour connecting Ha Long Bay, Quang Ninh with Lan Ha Bay, Hai Phong, so tourist boats on Ha Long Bay cannot go to Lan Ha Bay and vice versa, tourist boats on Lan Ha Bay cannot go to Ha Long Bay either.

For the seafood sector, 6 cases were handled, fined 22,500,000 VND, and requested violators to move all illegally anchored rafts out of Ha Long Bay area.
The Board also coordinated with Market Management Team No. 1 to strengthen patrols, supervision, propaganda, and reminders to vehicle owners and drivers of street vendors in the area of Ha Long Bay 1 Conservation Center; and at the same time, reviewed and made commitments for 23 subjects clinging to tourist boats.
In the coming time, the Ha Long Bay - Yen Tu World Heritage Management Board will continue to inspect, supervise, as well as organize propaganda for tourism business units and boats operating in Ha Long Bay. Through inspection, supervision and handling of violations, it will contribute to ensuring security and order, waterway traffic safety and preserving the image of the tourism environment in Ha Long Bay.
