Phuoc An bridge connecting Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai reaches 50% of construction progress

Ho Chi Minh City - Phuoc An bridge across the Thi Vai River connecting to Dong Nai, with a total investment of nearly 4,900 billion VND, has reached nearly 50% of the construction progress.

On February 3, the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Regional and Specialized Agricultural Transport Project Management Board (the investor) said that the packages in the Phuoc An bridge project are being implemented to ensure progress. Up to now, the total construction volume has reached about 50% of the construction value of the entire project.

Recorded at the project deployment area, 2 main pillars of Phuoc An bridge have been completed, along with beam spans and cables stretching across the Thi Vai River. Hundreds of workers are busy constructing items in the days before the 2026 Lunar New Year.

The Phuoc An bridge project with a total investment of nearly 4,900 billion VND was started at the end of 2022. Including 5 main construction packages, which are being implemented. Packages No. 38 and 39 for construction of the approach bridge item on the Ho Chi Minh City side and the main bridge are both exceeding 60% of the construction volume.

Packages 40 and 41 for construction and installation of approach bridges in Dong Nai are being accelerated for implementation. Package No. 42 for construction and installation of asphalt concrete and lighting items is in the preparation phase.

According to the investor, the Phuoc An bridge project will be completed by the end of 2027 according to the set schedule. When completed and put into use, Phuoc An bridge will strengthen inter-regional connectivity for the Southeast region and Cai Mep - Thi Vai port cluster. Thereby opening up development space for industry, logistics and riverside urban areas.
