According to information from the Department of Construction of Tay Ninh province, the collapsed road surface is about 30 m long, with an estimated depth of about 3 m. The subsidence phenomenon appeared after many hours of heavy rain lasting from the evening of May 10 to the early morning of May 11.
The People's Committee of Hoa Hoi commune informed that at around 4am the same day, a car traveling through this area suddenly fell into a hole. There were 4 people on the bus, including Mr. N.V.T (born in 1982), the driver, and 3 others: N.T.T (born in 1955), N.K.N (born in 1988) and H.B.D (born in 2012), all residing in Hoa Thanh commune. All four people were injured.

At the same time, 2 motorbikes were also traveling from Hoa Thanh commune to Hoa Hoi commune when they had a similar accident. A total of 6 injured people were taken to the emergency room. In addition, there are 3 more cases whose identities and conditions are being verified. Initially, no deaths were recorded.
According to the authorities, the initial cause may be due to rainwater washing away the mud layer below the road surface, creating an empty space leading to the road surface collapsing slowly. Currently, functional units are coordinating to fix the scene and continue investigating the specific cause.

The incident also caused severe damage to a car and 2 motorbikes. The People's Committee of Hoa Hoi commune has directed the commune police to protect the scene and regulate traffic.
