Information from Hanoi Metro Joint Stock Company, as of 3:00 PM on August 8, 2024, has seen over 12,600 passengers experience the elevated urban railway line of the city, the Nhổn - Hà Nội Station section.
According to that, the line has opened to welcome passengers from 8:00 AM today. Within the first 15 days of the line's commercial operation, all passengers have been served free of charge in accordance with the Resolution of the Hanoi People's Council.
Regarding the question of many passengers about whether they can use the Cát Linh - Hà Đông train ticket to travel on the Nhổn - Hà Nội train, Mr. Vũ Hồng Trường - General Director of Hanoi Metro, said that it is not currently linked.
"Hanoi is building a proposal for a single electronic ticket to be able to use different types of public transportation. Currently, it is being piloted with the BRT line. Regarding the metro, for the time being, passengers traveling on a particular line will use the ticket for that line.
We will collaborate with the Hanoi Department of Transport and our partners to accelerate the implementation of a shared electronic ticket, with the goal of being the most convenient, safest, and most modern.
Within the first three months, the operating unit will operate the line from 5:30 AM; close the line at 10:00 PM. The time interval for running trains will be uniform at 10 minutes per trip to serve the people.
On the first day of operation, many passengers shared with PV Lao Động that the train's departure and stop at stations were not smooth, and there were some jerks.
"I have traveled on the Cát Linh - Hà Đông train, and it seems to have the same speed, but it is clear that it does not have the jerks like on this line. A few people almost fell over because they couldn't hold on," said Ms. Hiền (Cầu Giấy, Hà Nội).
The actual experience of the PV also showed that if you stand without a place to hold on to on the train, you are very likely to fall each time the train departs or stops at stations. In the coming days, people will pay special attention to this issue to ensure safety.
