Lang Son - The province requests 8 communes to mobilize people not to build solid structures or bury graves in areas planned for expressways connecting with Thai Nguyen.

On August 21, Lang Son Provincial People's Committee said that it has assigned departments, branches and localities to prepare planning, site clearance, resettlement, and relocation of technical infrastructure for the Lang Son - Thai Nguyen expressway project.

According to the preliminary route, the project passes through 8 communes including Hoang Van Thu, Diem He, Van Quan, Tan Van, Binh Gia, Bac Son, Vu Lang and Nhat Hoa.

Commune authorities are required to notify organizations and individuals not to build solid structures or bury graves in the planned road construction area.

Localities also review the area to be cleared, the number of houses to be relocated and the resettlement needs of people.

For households in need of concentrated resettlement, communes must check the existing residential land fund. The new resettlement area needs to be suitable for terrain, geology, and hydrological conditions; limit the risk of flooding, taluy landslides and ensure connection with surrounding infrastructure.

The selected location must also be consistent with urban and rural planning and land use. The Provincial People's Committee requests localities to proactively update and adjust planning so that resettlement areas can be built immediately after the expressway project is approved.

The Lang Son Department of Construction will coordinate with Thai Nguyen province to monitor the investment preparation process, determine the plan and scope of the route.

This agency also reviews the resettlement needs of projects in 2026 and the 2026-2030 period throughout the province.

The Department of Finance is assigned to advise on the establishment and allocation of capital for site clearance for the section through Lang Son. Specialized departments study the planning of land funds, projects, zones and industrial clusters along the route; prepare plans to relocate affected technical infrastructure works.

According to Lang Son Provincial People's Committee, early preparation is aimed at ensuring progress and close coordination with Thai Nguyen province when the project is approved by competent authorities.
