On February 12, according to information from the Nghe An Provincial Military Command, the province has so far completed the military draft and issued military enlistment orders for 3,416 citizens, including 3,254 official citizens and 162 reserve citizens.
Among them, there are 4 female citizens, 49 party members and 945 citizens who voluntarily applied to join the army (accounting for 30%). In addition, 1,105 citizens have attended the Party training course, 210 people have university, college or intermediate degrees, 813 ethnic minority youth, 237 religious youth, and more than 78.2% of citizens have health class 1 and 2.
In 2025, the Government and the Ministry of National Defense assigned Nghe An province to select more than 3,200 citizens to join the army. These new recruits will be distributed to 13 units, including 9 units under the Ministry of National Defense and 4 units under Military Region 4.
According to the Nghe An Provincial Military Command, citizens who volunteered to join the army are shining examples of ideals and civic responsibility.
Currently, all levels, sectors and localities are organizing meetings, giving gifts and encouraging citizens before their departure for military service. Gifts at the commune level range from 500,000 to 6 million VND/person, and at the district level from 300,000 to 500,000 VND/person.
Nghe An Provincial Military Command coordinated with the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee to allocate funds from the "For the Poor" fund to present 795 gifts to citizens in difficult circumstances, each worth 1 million VND in cash.
It is expected that on the morning of February 14, the entire Nghe An province will hold a military enlistment ceremony as planned.
