On April 19-20, districts, towns and cities in Hai Duong province simultaneously organized to collect voters' opinions on representing households on the Project to merge Hai Duong province and Hai Phong city and the Project to reorganize commune-level administrative units of Hai Duong province.
According to the quick summary results of the Department of Home Affairs, the number of voters on the listed list is 608,530 voters, the number of voters participating in the consultation is 605,478 voters, reaching a rate of 99.5%.
Regarding the results of the voters about the proposal of arranging the administrative unit at the commune level in 2025 of Hai Duong province, at 207/207 communal administrative units of 12 districts, towns and cities, the rate of voters agreed to reach 99.11%, of which Chi Linh and Ninh Giang districts have a high rate of voters who agree to reach 100%high.
For specialized economic zones, the percentage of voters consensus is high if permitted by competent authorities.The number of voters agreed in 3 related districts is Binh Giang, Gia Loc and Thanh Mi 97.68%.
Regarding the results of the voters about the merger project of Hai Duong and Hai Phong City, the percentage of voters agreed to reach 99.21% (Chi Linh City and Ninh Giang District voters agreed to reach 100%).
Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Ngoc Chau acknowledged and praised the unity of the political system at all levels.In a short time, the localities were proactive and actively organized to collect voters about the project of arranging administrative units at all levels, so far, they have basically completed the collection of voters and reached a high rate.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee suggested that districts, towns and cities continue to propagate and mobilize to create a high consensus among the people about the policy of arranging administrative units at all levels. At the same time, doing well the political and ideological work for the contingent of cadres and members of the commune and district levels continues to perform well the assigned tasks, completing the socio -economic development targets.
