According to Ms. Huyen, in the past, the Department has coordinated with the Department of Food Safety (Ministry of Health) to verify and handle violations related to product advertising, including the case related to the product of Hiup milk - which has attracted much public attention.
BTV Quang Minh and MC Van Hugo were determined to have advertising content that is different from the published documents licensed by the professional agency.
During the work, the two artists provided scripts and documents from the brand. However, the content of these documents does not match the information approved by the authorities, and some personal statements are expressed in a way that easily makes the public understand that they have a general effect.

For BTV Quang Minh, the expected fine is 37.5 million VND for two violations: Advertising is not in accordance with one of the prescribed documents, violating Point a, Clause 2, Article 52 of Decree 38; and advertising using the name of a doctor in violation of the provisions of Point a, Clause 4, Article 52 of Decree 38/2021 of the Government.
MC Van Hugo is expected to be fined 70 million VND, based on Clause 5, Article 34 of Decree 38/2021, for advertising that causes confusion about the quality and uses of the product.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism requires affiliated units to closely coordinate with the Ministry of Health to strengthen inspection and handling of violations in milk and food advertising activities on media (roadcasting, television, newspapers, social networks, digital platforms, etc.).
