On the morning of April 24, Khe Sanh commune, Quang Tri province organized a ceremony to pay respects, commemorate and bury 8 sets of remains of martyrs found and collected by the Team for Repatriation of Martyrs of Economic - National Defense Team 337 (Military Region 4) in Huong Lap commune.
In a solemn atmosphere, the delegates respectfully bowed, offered incense, flowers and observed a minute of silence, expressing deep gratitude to the heroic martyrs who bravely sacrificed for national independence, for the prosperous and happy life of the People.

Previously, 8 sets of martyrs' remains were discovered in Cu Bai, Cha Ly, Cap villages, Huong Lap commune. The sets of remains are located at a depth of about 1.6m, accompanied by many artifacts still quite intact such as hammocks used to wrap and tie sets of remains, buttons for clothes, belts, umbrella cords and K54 bullet casings.
Notably, the search force also discovered a plastic vial containing information related to the martyr, making an important contribution to verifying the identity and clarifying more information about the martyrs who sacrificed in this area.
The remains were found from March 11 to now, along with many historically valuable artifacts, serving the verification and gratitude work.
After the memorial service, 8 sets of remains of martyrs were taken by leaders of units and localities to be buried at Khe Sanh Martyrs' Cemetery.
