On the afternoon of July 21, Mr. Chu Van Doan - Chairman of the People's Committee of Hoang Chau commune, Thanh Hoa province - said that due to the impact of storm No. 3, there was heavy rain and strong winds in the area. By the morning of July 22, a landslide on the slope of the Dong Den 2 culvert had occurred with a length of about 60m.

Immediately after discovering the incident, the Hoang Chau commune government directed specialized forces to inspect and mobilize human resources and materials to promptly handle the landslide area.
Mr. Doan added: "Currently, the work of reinforcing and overcoming landslides has basically been completed. We are still continuing to reinforce it. Although it is raining heavily and the storm is still making landfall, the brothers are still trying to reinforce each affected section of the dike to protect the residential area inside.
