The 1st Congress of the Party Committee of the Border Guard Command of Lam Dong province, term 2025-2030
On July 21-22, the Party Committee of the Border Guard Command of Lam Dong province held the 1st Congress of Delegates for the 2025-2030 term.
For the 2020 - 2025 term, the Party Committee of the Border Guard Command of Lam Dong province has led the synchronous implementation of border management and protection measures in accordance with the law and international agreements.
The Provincial Border Guard Command has proactively grasped and forecast the situation, strictly managed the area, organized patrols, controls, maintained political security and social order in the border area.
During the term, the entire force conducted more than 5,145 patrols with more than 19,255 participants; completed immigration procedures for more than 127,000 people and nearly 5,000 vehicles.
Along with that, the Border Guard force handled 1,121 ships with more than 23,000 crew members, imported and exported goods reached over 24.9 million tons; independently investigated and handled 1,599 cases, prosecuted 187 cases against 202 subjects related to drugs.
The Border Guard Command effectively maintains 170 self-managed security and order teams and 129 solidarity boat teams.
Social security work has been promoted with a total value of over 5.5 billion VND through typical models such as: Taking children to school, adopting children at the Border Guard Station, Lunar New Year, Border Spring - Warming the hearts of the villagers.
Party building work is focused on, improving the leadership capacity of Party committees and organizations throughout the unit.
The Congress identified 3 breakthrough tasks in the new term, focusing on improving forecasting capacity, evaluating and effectively implementing border management and protection.
Build a solid national border defense; promote administrative reform, digital transformation, ensure discipline and regularity in the entire force.
The Congress announced the decision of the Party Committee of the Lam Dong Provincial Military Command to appoint 15 comrades to the Executive Committee; 5 comrades to join the Standing Committee of the Lam Dong Provincial Border Guard Command Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030.
Colonel Tran Viet Hung, Political Commissar of the Border Guard Command of Lam Dong province, was appointed to hold the position of Secretary of the Party Committee of the Border Guard Command of Lam Dong province for the 2025-2030 term.
Speaking at the congress, Colonel Nguyen Van Son, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Political Commissar of the Lam Dong Provincial Military Command, emphasized that the Border Guard, which has a tradition of building, fighting and always being attached to the People, contributes to firmly protecting sovereignty and security of borders, sea and island areas.
The country is entering a "New Era - the Era of National Rising". The whole country has entered the first phase of operating the two-level local government system; in the army, continue to implement the project of organizing the army "Refined, compact, strong", merge, dissolve, and reorganize.
Colonel Nguyen Van Son hopes that in the new term, the Provincial Border Guard Command will continue to innovate and improve the effectiveness of border gate management, immigration control in a modern direction, applying information technology.
Colonel Nguyen Van Son also proposed promoting administrative procedure reform associated with digital transformation, ensuring strictness and openness, as well as reviewing and proposing investment in modern equipment and techniques to serve the border gate work.
