On June 4, regarding the discovery of 18 skulls and many remains in the Len Chua cave (Nghia Thanh commune, Nghia Dan district, Nghe An province), information from the authorities of Nghe An province said that although it has not been verified whether this is an ancient relic or not, it is certainly not a criminal case and does not have military elements.
Previously, as reported by Lao Dong Newspaper, on April 23, Nghia Thanh Commune Police received a report about the discovery of many pieces of bone that were almost completely decomposed in the Len Chua grotto. Immediately, local police forces coordinated with Nghe An Provincial Police to block off the scene and launch a large-scale investigation.
Initially, the authorities determined that there were a total of 18 skulls and many other bone sections at the scene. The samples were collected for examination and for in-depth investigation.
An official of the Nghe An Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism said that it is not ruled out that these skeletons belong to ancient residents, live in grottos or are buried according to ancient burial rituals.
To specifically determine the year, race, or related culture, it is necessary to have in-depth analysis results from specialized institutes such as Archaeology, Forensic Assessment and Genetics.
Specialized forces are continuing to investigate to clarify the identity and origin of the remains.
