The Government Office has just issued Official Letter No. 2879/VPCP-CN dated April 5, 2025, conveying the direction of Central Party Committee member, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha on assigning the governing body to implement the Van Ha bridge construction investment project.
The Deputy Prime Minister agreed to assign the People's Committee of Bac Giang province as the competent authority to implement the Van Ha bridge construction investment project, connecting Van Ha commune, Viet Yen town, Bac Giang province with Hoa Long ward, Bac Ninh city, Bac Ninh province.
The Deputy Prime Minister requested the People's Committee of Bac Giang province to coordinate with the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province and be responsible for allocating funds, organizing the implementation of the project to ensure efficiency, compliance with legal regulations, and preventing corruption, loss, and waste.
The Van Ha bridge construction investment project connecting Van Ha commune, Viet Yen town (Bac Giang) with Hoa Long ward (Bac Ninh city) plans to build a bridge and approach roads at both ends of the bridge as follows: The bridge construction location is determined according to the adjusted Bac Ninh Urban Master Plan and the Bac Ninh City Urban Sub- Zoning Plan, connecting from Quan Ho Bac Ninh Folk Festival Theater to Van Ha commune; global length is about 360m; global width is 12m.
The project is expected to start construction in 2025 and be completed in 2026, with a total investment of about 220 billion VND.
The completion of the project will create conditions to promote economic, cultural and social exchanges, contributing to natural disaster prevention and rescue between the two provinces of Bac Ninh and Bac Giang.
