The Spring Festival "Countryside Market on Tet Holiday" is an annual activity, held in the center of Bac Lieu city, attracting a large number of people, with many unique activities recreating the ancient lifestyle of Southern people every time they celebrate the traditional Tet holiday.
The Spring Festival "Countryside Market on Tet Holiday" in Bac Lieu city took place for 5 days, from January 23 to 27 (25 to 28 of Tet) on April 30 Street (Ward 3, Bac Lieu city), with 22 booths of agencies and units, elaborately decorated, imbued with the traditional and modern beauty of the traditional Tet of the past and present of the Vietnamese people.
Included in the activities of the Spring Festival “Countryside Market on Tet Holiday” are many diverse and rich contents such as: Booth design and decoration contest; folk cake contest, banh tet wrapping contest; national altar decoration contest combined with fruit tray decoration…
After the opening ceremony, many fun and entertainment activities also took place, such as: Don ca tai tu festival, folk games, chess competition, calligraphy performance... thereby contributing to creating a joyful and exciting atmosphere for cadres and people during Tet.
At the same time, through the activities of the Spring Festival, the image of Bac Lieu city is promoted and created conditions for the city's people and tourists to have places to visit, have fun, entertain and take souvenir photos during Tet.
Mr. Tran Van Mau - Vice Chairman of Bac Lieu City People's Committee - said that every year, on the occasion of Tet, Spring comes together with the whole country, Bac Lieu City organizes many activities so that the city's people can welcome the new year happily, warmly and meaningfully.
Besides, this is also an opportunity to promote the image of the city to tourists, bringing people and visitors many experiences and enjoying the beauty of Bac Lieu streets in the new year.
According to Mr. Mau, within the framework of the Spring Festival "Countryside Market on Tet Holiday" there will be space to organize festivals and exchange Don ca tai tu every evening, spring visitors can come to listen to singing and exchange.
