According to the decision, the project is implemented in Trung Chinh commune (Bac Ninh province), managed and implemented by Bac Ninh Provincial Traffic and Agriculture Project Management Board No. 2.
The project's objective is to build a new drainage culvert to promptly handle subsidence, joint damage and water leakage incidents at the existing Van Thai gravity drainage culvert.
Thereby, contributing to improving flood prevention capacity, proactively responding to extreme weather events in the 2026 rainy and storm season and the following years, ensuring the safety of dykes and property of the State and people in the area.
In addition, the project will ensure the task of self-flowing water drainage for about 4,503 hectares of agricultural, industrial, residential - urban land of Luong Tai district (old) and part of Gia Binh district (old) of Bac Ninh province to the Thai Binh River and take water from the Thai Binh River to serve agricultural irrigation.
The total investment of the project is 145 billion VND, from the provincial budget. Of which, construction costs are more than 111 billion VND, compensation, support and resettlement costs are 500 million VND, and the rest are other costs.
The project is required to be completed before June 30, 2026 to be in time for flood and storm prevention and control work.
Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee assigned Bac Ninh Provincial Traffic and Agriculture Project Management Board No. 2 to organize the implementation of the project to ensure compliance with legal regulations, construction quality, investment efficiency and set progress.
