Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee has just canceled 45 documents related to the policy of leasing forest land for eco-tourism, resort and entertainment business.
This decision was made after reviewing documents from August 2021 to August 2022. At that time, Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee agreed to lease 10 enterprises and 35 enterprises were allowed to prepare documents and procedures to lease forest land.
However, to date, no organization or individual has completed the procedures for leasing forest land as prescribed.
The reason is that Decree No. 91/2024/ND-CP has come into effect, amending and supplementing a number of articles of Decree No. 156/2018/ND-CP, detailing the implementation of a number of articles of the Forestry Law.
The leasing of forest land must be carried out in accordance with current regulations.
The Department of Natural Resources and Environment is coordinating with the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to review the scope, boundaries, and land area of forest owners.
The goal is to advise the Provincial People's Committee to approve decisions on land allocation and lease, and at the same time issue land use right certificates in accordance with regulations.
On that basis, forest owners will complete sustainable forest management plans and submit them to competent authorities for approval.
