Hanoi Drainage Company Limited has just reported on drainage work due to the impact of storm No. 3 (Wipha) on July 21, 2025.
According to this Company, due to the influence of the convective cloud band in the city, there will be light rain, scattered from 8:30 to 16:00.


As of 4:00 p.m. on July 21, through the Company's inspection, there were no flooded or stagnant water in the City.
Hanoi Drainage Company said that as soon as there was a rain forecast, the Company activated on-duty at key points.
Pumping stations: Yen So (operating 2/15 pumps), Co Nhue, Dong Bong 1 and underpasses are operated early to lower the water level of the system, regulating gates A, B, C, and O E Canal are fully opened.
The blast gates operate according to the correct procedures, ensuring traffic safety in low-lying areas.
Regarding the implementation of response to storm No. 3, since the morning of July 20, Hanoi Drainage Company has arranged workers, machinery, and vehicles to organize the cleaning of drainage covers, barrier plates, and salvage of fallen trees on lake canals, pumping stations, and treatment stations to ensure drainage.
Focus on operating pumping stations to drain water on the system and keep the buffer water level on rivers and lakes at the lowest level, ready to receive and transport water when there is continued rain.
Regularly update and closely monitor weather developments, be ready to receive and deploy tasks as required by the City's Disaster Prevention and Control Committee, the Department of Construction, and wards/communes.
Organize the deployment of forces to be on duty, solve drainage problems, and collect garbage at the revenue mouth throughout the management area.
Reasonable operation of the floodgates of the reservoir such as Dong Da, Bay Mau, Dam Chuoi and pumping stations of Yen So, Dong Bong 1, Dong Bong 2, Co Nhue, Linh Dam... to lower the water level in the system in accordance with regulations.
Information on rainfall, pumping station operation, floodgates and flooding situations are updated in real time to the HSDC Maps Drainage System and Software Operation Center.
According to the forecast of the Northern Hydrometeorological Station, due to the influence of storm No. 3, from July 21 to July 23, the Northern Delta will have heavy to very heavy rain and thunderstorms with common rainfall from 200-350mm, locally up to 600mm, warning of the risk of heavy rain (>150mm/3 hours).
