Located in Bao Ha commune (Bao Yen district, Lao Cai province), Bao Ha temple was built at the end of the Le Dynasty, Canh Hung Dynasty, worshiping the famous general Hoang Bay of the Nguyen family, who contributed to protecting and building the Fatherland at the gateway to Lao Cai canal.
Bao Ha Temple has a steep back to the mountain, facing the Red River and there is a harmonious combination of natural landscapes according to the Fengshek theory.

Every year, Bao Ha Temple welcomes millions of visitors from near and far to visit, go to festivals and pray for fortune.
For many years, this sacred temple has displayed two tiger spears. Local people as well as tourists from all over the world who visit the temple respectfully call him "the tiger".
Recently, when there was information about the transfer of two tiger specimens from Bao Ha Temple to Lao Cai Provincial Museum for display and preservation, many people and tourists everywhere expressed their great regret.

Mr. Pham Van Dong (a tourist from Hai Phong) shared: My family often goes to Bao Ha Temple to pray for fortune and is also very familiar with the image of two tigers guarding the temple. The move of the two tigers to another location is to serve the preservation and display work, but also makes the temple much more empty".
According to Mr. Dong, the two " tigers" who guard Bao Ha Temple are not only symbols but also have spiritual meanings. Therefore, the move made many people extremely regretful.
Meanwhile, Ms. Ly Thi Xoan (a tourist from Hanoi) was surprised that the two tiger specimens at Bao Ha Temple that were moved were real tigers.
The two tiger specimens at Bao Ha Temple have been respected by everyone and have long held many spiritual meanings. Every time I go to the temple, I see these tiger spears, which greatly increase the majesty of the temple. But I don't know why they have been moved to another place," said Ms. Xoan.

Many people and tourists believe that the two tiger spears displayed at Bao Ha Temple for decades are still very well preserved. Moreover, these tiger specimens are an indispensable spiritual part of worship at the temple.
Therefore, people and tourists from all over the world hope that the two tiger spears will continue to be displayed here.

Regarding these issues, in an interview with Lao Dong Newspaper, the leader of the Bao Yen District Monument Management and Tourism Development Board confirmed the information that the two tiger specimens at Bao Ha Temple had been transferred to the Lao Cai Provincial Museum. This is for management and preservation for people and students to visit and study.
According to the leader of the Bao Yen District Monument Management and Tourism Development Board, the two tiger specimens have been on display at Bao Ha Temple since 2007. The origin of these versions did not originate in Vietnam but were imported from Laos.
"It is very good to let the two tiger specimens be managed by the relic, it is okay. Teachers and students can still come here to study and learn about issues related to culture and biology," added the leader of the management board.
