The Inter-regional Road project connecting Ho Chi Minh Road with National Highway 70B, National Highway 32C from Phu Tho province to Yen Bai province (now Lao Cai province) has a total adjusted investment of VND 2,120 billion.
The project is invested by the Phu Tho Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board (before the merger, it was the Phu Tho Provincial Traffic, Civil and Industrial Construction Investment Project Management Board).
After more than 3 years of construction, the main inter-regional road with a total length of more than 53km has been handed over and put into use, the first section of the main route from Km0 - Km2+452 in Van Xuan commune (the additional section later) is under construction.
Along with the main route, this project is also implementing 2 more important branch routes: Branch route connecting from Km23+920 inter-regional road to Cam Khe industrial park (Cam Khe commune), route extending from Km0 inter-regional road to National Highway 32 at Km76+150 (Tam Nong commune).
With the branch line connecting Cam Khe industrial park, deployed from the end of October 2024, after Package No. 32: Construction of the branch line of the project completed the contractor selection. Traffic Construction Corporation 8 - JSC was the winning bidder with a price of more than 96 billion VND.
This branch line has a total length of about 3.083km (belonging to Cam Khe commune) designed according to the standards of a grade III plain road, a design speed of 80km/h, the starting point of the route intersects with the main route at Km23+920, the end point connects with the main axis road of Cam Khe industrial park.
According to the reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper in mid-September, the inter-regional road branch line has basically taken shape, built straight through the fields of the old Phong Thinh commune. Particularly for the section near Cam Khe Industrial Park, the road is constructed through a high hill, and can still be seen from afar.
Ms. Ha Thi Van - a worker living in Cam Khe commune (old Phong Thinh commune) - shared: "The completion of this road will shorten the travel distance for workers a lot, when going to work, they no longer have to go around the center of Cam Khe commune (old Cam Khe town center) and then enter the main gate as before".
Speaking to Lao Dong Newspaper reporter, Mr. Do The Nam - Deputy Director of Phu Tho Province Construction Investment Project Management Board - said that currently, the construction contractor is implementing road excavation; filling the ground for K95 and K98 roads; constructing cross-road culverts, Men bridge, underpass.
Regarding compensation, support and resettlement, up to now, 428/428 households have been inventoried, reaching 100%; 428/428 households have been approved, and 427/428 households have received money; the site has been handed over 2.883km/3.083km. The construction of resettlement areas has also been completed.
When put into use, the project will increase the efficiency of the main inter-regional road and many other important traffic routes in the area, especially breaking the dead-end road situation in the western area of Cam Khe Industrial Park, helping to increase the efficiency of attracting investment in this 450ha industrial park.
