On the afternoon of July 17, speaking with Lao Dong, the leader of the People's Committee of Phuc Loi commune (lic Yen district, old Yen Bai province) said: On July 13, the local government received a notice from the people about the discovery of abandoned newborns in the area of Km 70, National Highway 70 in Sai Lon village.
After verification, the girl weighed 2.7 kg, was kept in a red plastic lane ( yard of birth), along with a piece of paper stating: "My name is Nguyen Thuy Linh, born on July 9, 2025. Because I cannot afford to raise my child, I hope whoever can pick him up will take care of and raise him."
At the time of discovery, the child was conscious and had no signs of abnormal health.
After discovering the incident, the People's Committee of Phuc Loi commune assigned officers to take the baby for a health check, and at the same time notified to find the baby's biological father and mother.
Currently, the baby girl has been temporarily handed over to the family of Mr. Thieu Van Thien and Ms. Nguyen Thi Hao, residing in Sai Lon village, Phuc Loi commune, Lao Cai province for care.
Within one month, from July 13 to August 13, 2025, if no one comes to claim the child, the People's Committee of Phuc Loi commune will carry out birth registration procedures and other related procedures for the baby according to the provisions of law.
