On October 15, information from Khanh Hoa General Hospital said that the unit received a newborn baby girl transferred from Vinh Hiep Medical Station.
According to initial information, at around 4am the same day, Ms. Tran Thi Ngoc Anh (residing in Group 3 Phu Thanh, Tay Nha Trang Ward) went to exercise while passing through the railway barrier area, near Nha Trang Transport Hospital.
While passing here, she heard a noise coming from a cloth wrap on the side of the road. Opening it to see, she discovered a newborn baby girl inside, wrapped in a T-shirt with an uncut umbilical cord.
Ms. Ngoc Anh and some nearby residents quickly took the baby to Vinh Hiep Medical Station. Here, medical staff conducted heating, cutting the umbilical cord and initial health check for the baby.
The girl weighed 3.2kg and was in stable health. After receiving initial care, the child was transferred to Khanh Hoa General Hospital for a comprehensive check-up and continued monitoring.
Currently, local authorities are verifying the identity and circumstances of the girl girl to find relatives and take protective measures according to regulations.
