On the morning of June 24, speaking with reporters, Mr. Bui Van Hien - Chairman of the People's Committee of Man Duc town (Tan Lac district, Hoa Binh province) confirmed that an incident had just occurred in the area where a boy about 4 months old was abandoned in front of a house.
According to initial information, at around 1:45 a.m. on June 21, a resident of Muong Cong area, Men Duc town suddenly heard a baby crying from the porch. When checking, this person discovered a boy about 4 months old, placed with a milk box, diaper bag, a set of clothes and a piece of handwritten paper.
In the letter, the mother left a message with the content: "I am in difficulty and cannot raise my child, I hope you help me take care of and raise my child to be a good person... I apologize to you very much, my son".
According to the information recorded in the letter, the baby was born on February 14, 2025.
Immediately after receiving the incident, the local authorities handed over the baby to the Man Duc Town Health Station for temporary care and issued a notice to find relatives on mass media.
"We have informed that within 7 days from the date of discovery of the incident, if no one comes to claim the baby, the locality will carry out procedures according to regulations to prepare documents for adoption" - Mr. Hien said.
The child's health condition is currently stable. Medical staff are taking good care of the child, the authorities are also coordinating with authorities to verify the child's relatives, thereby ensuring the legitimate rights of the child
