Thai Nguyen - A boy suspected of being swept away by water while playing near the foot of Ben Tuong Bridge is being urgently searched by the authorities.

On July 17, a source from Lao Dong Newspaper said that in the Ben Tuong bridge area, Phan Dinh Phung ward (formerly Trung Vuong ward, Thai Nguyen city), a missing person was suspected of being swept away by water.

Accordingly, at around 6:30 p.m. the same day, a group of children went to the area under Ben Tuong Bridge to play.

While playing, a boy unfortunately slipped and fell into the river. As soon as the incident was discovered, people immediately rushed down to save him, but due to the strong water flow, they could not reach it in time.

Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh (witness) said that after falling into the water, the child tried to swim about 20m before being swept away.

Immediately after receiving the report, the authorities were present to coordinate with the people to organize the search.

As of 11pm the same day, the search was still being urgently deployed.

The identity of the missing child is currently in the process of verification. Authorities continue to expand the search area.
