On the morning of July 14, the leader of the People's Committee of Van An commune (Nghe An province) said that the authorities are continuing to search for a missing person after a series of serious accidents that occurred in the area.
"The traffic accident caused human casualties. Currently, 2 people have been confirmed dead after the accident, the other person is suspected of being missing in the riverbed, and is being searched by the authorities" - the leader of the People's Committee of Van An commune informed.
Previously, as Lao Dong reported, on the afternoon of July 14, at km32+100 of National Highway 46A, passing through Ba Ha block, Van An commune, a car with Nghe An license plate driven by Mr. Tran Huu Ba (born in 1988, residing in Van An commune) was carrying Mr. Tran Van Trung (born in 1990) and Mr. Son (born in 1990, Truong Vinh ward). The vehicle was traveling from Kim Lien commune to Van An commune.

When arriving at Song Cut bridge, the car suddenly collided with a motorbike driven by Mr. Dau Dinh Cong (born in 1993, residing in Dai Hue commune) carrying his wife, Ms. Nguyen Thi Binh (born in 1997), son Dau Dinh P. (4 years old), Dau Dinh Q. (9 years old) and another motorbike driven by Ms. Hoang Thi Quy (born in 1973) in the same direction in front.
After the strong hit, the car lost control, crashed into the bridge railing and plunged straight into the river. The accident caused Mr. Cong to die on the spot, Ms. Binh and P. were seriously injured. Q. and Mr. Son were swept away and went missing.
At around 10:00 p.m. the same day, Q.'s body was found by rescue forces in the river and handed over to his family for funeral arrangements. Mr. Son has not yet been found due to the strong river flow, and at night, the search is difficult.
The car was completely deformed after the accident. Rescue forces are continuing to mobilize boats, nets and divers to expand the search area to about 100 meters around the bridge to find the remaining victim.
The cause of the accident is being investigated and clarified by Nghe An Provincial Police in coordination with relevant agencies.
