The locality is currently reporting to the Ministry of Finance and the Export-Import Bank of Korea (KEXIMBANK). After the two units agree on the bidding results, the locality will request the contractor to carry out the construction. The construction progress of the Ben Tre Provincial General Hospital project is 18 months.
The Standing Vice Chairman of Ben Tre Provincial People's Committee also informed that the Prime Minister has approved the extension of the loan disbursement period for the Ben Tre Provincial General Hospital project until December 31, 2026.
According to the investigation of Lao Dong Newspaper reporter, Handong Engineering and Construction Joint Stock Company won the bid for the construction package of Ben Tre General Hospital project, with a price of more than 879 billion VND.
Previously, Lao Dong Newspaper reported that the Ben Tre General Hospital project has been more than 8 years since the investment decision was made but has not yet been constructed. The reason is that the first bidding result did not select a contractor, leading to the cancellation of the bidding and the need to re-bid for the second time.
Previously in 2015, the People's Committee of Ben Tre province issued Decision No. 1594 approving the content of the investment project document for the construction of Ben Tre General Hospital (Ben Tre General Hospital project) using preferential loans from the Korean Government. The project has a total investment of more than 1,658 billion VND, of which the preferential credit loan to support the development of the Korean Government for the project is more than 1,331 billion VND. The project implementation location is in Binh Phu commune (Ben Tre city, Ben Tre province).
