On the afternoon of August 15, at Luu Huu Phuoc Park, the City Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City held a ceremony to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnam People's Public Security (CAND) and the 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection (ANTQ).
This is an opportunity to review the glorious historical journey, express gratitude to generations who have devoted and sacrificed for the peace of the Fatherland; at the same time, affirm the determination of the police force and people of the city in the cause of protecting security, order, building and developing the homeland.
Speaking at the ceremony, Central Party Committee member and Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee Do Thanh Binh acknowledged and highly appreciated the great contributions and sacrifices of the city's police force in the glorious revolutionary cause of Can Tho City.
To meet the requirements and tasks in the new revolutionary period, the Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee suggested that the police force must be proactive, grasp firmly, analyze and forecast the situation closely and accurately, especially strategic issues to advise the Ministry of Public Security, the City Party Committee and the City People's Committee on correct policies and decisions, mobilize and maximize the combined strength of the entire political system to participate in ensuring national security, maintaining social order and safety.
The Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee requested to thoroughly grasp the motto " proactive security", promptly detect, fight, prevent, and defeat all plots and sabotage activities of hostile forces; do not be passive or surprised in any situation.
In addition, effectively implement the function of state management in the fields of security and order. Promote research, transfer, application of science, technology, innovation and digital transformation in the spirit of Resolution 57.
The Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee stated that promoting the movement of the entire people to protect national security and order, strengthening the maintenance of the people's security posture associated with the "people's heart posture", combined with a strong national defense posture.
Speaking at the ceremony, Major General Huynh Viet Hoa - Director of Can Tho City Police - said that Can Tho Police have strengthened the work of building a clean and strong force according to the Six Teachings of Uncle Ho. Innovation in professional work, rearrangement of key routes and areas, improving the quality of the fight against political and criminal crimes, minimizing social evils, etc.
The Director of Can Tho City Police said that in the current period, with the spirit of "Only knowing the Party is still me", "Dignity is the most sacred and noble thing", "When the people need it, when the people are in difficulty, there is the Police", Can Tho Police have continued to promote the revolutionary heroic tradition, proactively grasp the situation, thoroughly grasp and flexibly apply the Party's viewpoints and guidelines, the State's policies and laws, innovate leadership thinking, working methods and organize forces; be smart, bravely fight against hostile, reactionary and criminal forces...
In particular, implementing the Party and State's policy on organizing two-level government, Can Tho City Police has been exemplary, taking the lead, demonstrating the spirit of solidarity, democracy, and responsibility in arranging the organization and assignment of cadres. This is a premise to build the City Police force to operate more and more effectively and efficiently, meeting the requirements and tasks in the new situation.
