The launching ceremony to build rural traffic roads is a practical and specific activity of the Provincial Party Committee and People's Committee of Lao Cai province to celebrate the success of the election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.
Attending the launching ceremony of the movement to build rural roads in Hoa Cuong village, Tran Yen commune and participating in the commencement of concrete pouring of a 600-meter long road connecting Hoa Cuong 1 village with Hoa Cuong 2 village, Lao Cai Provincial Party Secretary Duong Quoc Huy pointed out: "In fact, wherever the transport infrastructure is good, production develops. Where transportation is convenient, people's lives are improved.
Stemming from that requirement, the Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee Executive Committee issued Resolution 46 on rural transport development for the period 2026-2030, with a vision to 2040, which identified that by 2030, the entire province will have over 80% of rural roads asphalted and concreted and raised to 100% before 2040.

Lao Cai Provincial Party Secretary expressed his pleasure to know that Tran Yen was once the leading flag in the province's rural transport construction movement, with many effective models, in which people voluntarily donated land, removed fences, and contributed labor and finance to projects.
Immediately after the launching ceremony, Mr. Duong Quoc Huy and the Lao Cai provincial working delegation and people participated in concrete pouring on the rural traffic road connecting Hoa Cuong 1 and Hoa Cuong 2 villages, 600 meters long, 4 meters wide road surface, 5.5 meters roadbed.
In Quy Mong, the total length of the traffic road system managed by the commune reached 120 km, and the basic routes have been hardened nearly 100%.
However, in the face of new development requirements, many roads need to continue to be upgraded and expanded to meet travel, cargo transportation and production development needs.
This locality sets a target that by 2030, over 80% of rural roads will be asphalted and concreted; striving to achieve 100% of rural roads asphalted and concreted by 2040.

To achieve the set goals, Quy Mong continues to implement the mechanism "People do, State supports". In which the budget supports materials, part of construction costs; People contribute land, working days and participate in supervising projects. Thereby, promoting the subjective role of the People in rural transport infrastructure development.
Immediately after the launching ceremony, Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tuan Anh and leaders of departments, branches, local authorities and people launched a campaign to participate in expanding the road from Tan Thanh village to Hop Thanh village with a length of 700 m, a road surface width of 4.5 m, and a roadbed width of 5.5 m.
The activity demonstrates the determination to put the movement into practice, contributing to completing infrastructure and building increasingly spacious and modern rural areas.
