On May 9, Mr. Tran Van Lau - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Vinh Long province - led the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee's working delegation to inspect many key projects and works in the province.
Participating in the working delegation were Ms. Ho Thi Hoang Yen - Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Tran Tri Quang - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Vinh Long Provincial People's Committee and leaders of many related departments and agencies.
The delegation inspected the field of An Hiep landfill; projects in Bung Lac Dia area; Ba Lai 6 bridge and Ba Lai 8 bridge projects in An Hiep, Tan Xuan, Thanh Phuoc and Chau Hung communes, Vinh Long province.
The inspected projects all play an important role in socio-economic development, infrastructure connectivity, environmental protection and stabilizing people's lives in the eastern region of Vinh Long province in the new development phase.
In which, An Hiep landfill is under great pressure when receiving about 250 tons of garbage per day from 16 communes and wards. The capacity to treat, landfill and control the environment currently does not meet the actual requirements set out.
The working delegation also inspected the progress of expanding new landfills, leachate treatment systems, rainwater drainage and solutions to ensure safe environmental distance to residential areas adjacent to the landfill.
In Bung Lac Dia area, the delegation focused on surveying projects related to freshwater reservoirs, residential areas and revolutionary historical and cultural relics to assess the overall development connection efficiency of the area. The Ba Lai 8 bridge and Ba Lai 6 bridge projects are important transportation projects, contributing to completing inter-regional transportation connections of the province.
Through actual inspection, the Provincial Party Committee leaders listened to reports on difficulties and obstacles in site clearance, completion of transport infrastructure, electricity system and management and operation of projects.
Vinh Long Provincial Party Secretary requested relevant units to focus on removing difficulties and accelerating the progress of project implementation to soon promote investment efficiency, serve socio-economic development and improve people's lives.
