On the afternoon of September 28, before storm No. 10 was about to make landfall, according to the reporter's records, the Cua Lo sea waves rose high, strong winds in waves, and strong waves continuously hit the shore.
Faced with the dangerous situation, Cua Lo ward mobilized police, military and border guards to coordinate in reviewing, mobilizing and supporting people to move out of coastal areas and low-lying areas to ensure safety of life.

At Nghi Thuy Primary School - a concentrated shelter, hundreds of people have been arranged resting places, provided with drinking water, food and essential necessities. Many elderly people, women and children are cared for carefully and have stable temporary accommodation.
By the morning of September 28, Cua Lo ward had evacuated 356 people to safety and is expected to continue evacuating nearly 1,800 more people if the storm becomes more complicated. Along with the evacuation work, the authorities also urgently unblocked the drainage system, pruning trees, and reinforcing houses to limit damage.
Mr. Cao Minh Tu - Chairman of Cua Lo Ward People's Committee said: "In addition to evacuating people, the government also inspects and supports people to tie up their houses and anchor their boats. Forces are on duty 24/7 to promptly respond to any possible emergency situations.
The entire Cua Lo ward currently has 260 fishing vessels with more than 1,265 workers, many of which often go far. As of the morning of September 28, all ships have been called to shelter and anchored safely.
On the same morning, Mr. Nguyen Duc Trung - Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee directly inspected and directed the response to storm No. 10 in Cua Lo. The Provincial Party Secretary requested all levels, sectors and localities to implement synchronously and drastically, aiming to protect the safety of people's lives above all, especially paying attention to the elderly, children, students and vulnerable groups.
