Lao Dong Newspaper reported that on August 8, 2025, the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee and the Fatherland Front of Tra Leng commune held a fundraising ceremony to support Nghe An people to overcome the consequences of natural disasters. With more than 120 million VND donated in the morning, although that amount is not large, it has a very profound meaning: It is the response of love, a closed circle of sharing - a place that was once cared for and now carries the shoulders of others.
No one understands the value of help as well as those who were at the center of disaster.
Chairman of Tra Leng Commune People's Committee - Mr. Chau Minh Nghia - emotionally recalled the memories of 2020, when natural disasters swept away 22 people, destroyed houses and left immeasurable pain. At a moment when it seemed impossible to recover, Tra Leng was taken care of by the whole country. From the bunch of vegetables, the shirt, the corrugated iron roof to the relief convoys lining up to cross the forest road... all have rekindled the faith and vitality of that land.
Perhaps that is why, when Nghe An - a land rich in revolutionary traditions and also full of hardship - faced fierce floods, Tra Leng people did not wait but took action proactively. They donated, launched, and called on each citizen, business, and civil servant to join hands. It is not only a responsibility - but also a way for them to repay the kindness they have received.
Here, the biggest lesson is not the story of how much money is contributed, but the attitude of living in the face of natural disasters - living gratefully, living responsibly and living to share.
Today's support from Tra Leng is a model for the spirit of solidarity between local communities - going beyond borders, terrain, classes or history. That is Vietnam - a bloc of unity connected by invisible threads of love.
Natural disasters will pass, but the rest is the hearts that have together raised people. material recovery takes time, but spiritual revival always begins with a sincere gesture.
Maybe in a few years, a locality will encounter disaster and it is very likely that Nghe An people will be the place to shoulder the burden. The cycle of love continues and thanks to that, a new country can stand firm against thunderstorms.
Sharing from the place of loss - a symbol of revival and compatriotism.
