On the afternoon of March 27, the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province held an inauguration ceremony for the project to build a road connecting National Highway 19 to Becamex VSIP Binh Dinh Industrial Park connecting to Quy Nhon port. The ceremony was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung.
The connecting road project is 19.45km long, passing through An Nhon town and Tay Son and Van Canh districts. The route is designed according to the standards of a grade III plain road, with a 12m wide roadbed and an 11m road surface, including 2 lanes for motor vehicles and 2 lanes for non-motorized vehicles.

The total investment of the project is about 1,170 billion VND, started in August 2023, expected to be completed after 24 months. However, with determination and efforts, the project was completed after 19 months of construction, 5 months ahead of schedule.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Tu Cong Hoang - Vice Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee - said that in the period of 2021-2025, many key transport projects of the province will be invested in construction with a total cost of about 10 trillion VND.

The road connecting National Highway 19 to Becamex VSIP Binh Dinh Industrial, Urban and Service Area is a strategic traffic route, playing a very important role in connecting National Highway 19, 19C and the province's external routes, opening up a new development space. At the same time, promote trade of goods from the Industrial Park, Becamex Binh Dinh Urban Area with the Central Highlands provinces and Quy Nhon port to create momentum to promote socio-economic development.
Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung emphasized that the inauguration ceremony is not only an occasion to mark the completion of a modern transport project, but also a vivid symbol of the 50-year achievement of the reconstruction and development of Binh Dinh after liberation; expressing the will and aspiration to rise strongly of the Party Committee, government and people in the province.

The Deputy Prime Minister suggested that in order for the project to be put into operation to promote good investment efficiency, provincial leaders, investors, departments, branches, localities, and management units need to perform well the management, maintenance and use of the project, complete investment settlement procedures and carry out the project warranty work in accordance with regulations.
"The province must do a good job of planning, management, and exploitation, especially planning both sides of the route in a strict and scientific manner, orienting development into an economic corridor. Because this is an extremely large and potential resource," the Deputy Prime Minister requested.

On the same afternoon, Binh Dinh province also held the inauguration ceremony of the Dinh River Flood Drainage System Project, Quy Nhon City.
The Dinh River in Nhon Phu and Nhon Binh wards is one of the five main river branches in the flood drainage system of the downstream of the Ha Thanh River. Over the years, silting and encroachment have caused the riverbed to narrow, reducing the ability to drain flood, causing serious flooding during the rainy and stormy season.

The Dinh River Flood drainage System Project is being implemented to clear the flow, improve flood drainage capacity, protect residential areas, urban areas and local technical infrastructure. The project has a total cost of 602 billion VND, started in March 2022 and was completed in December 2024, 7 months ahead of schedule.
