On April 8, Cao Bang province held a ceremony to receive 131 billion VND in support from the Ministry of Public Security, and launched a 180-day peak period to complete the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the whole province.
At the ceremony, Lieutenant General Pham The Tung - Deputy Minister of Public Security emphasized the spirit of "leaving no one behind", saying that the entire police force has donated 362 billion VND, of which Cao Bang has supported 131 billion VND to build houses for people.
Standing Deputy Secretary of the Cao Bang Provincial Party Committee Trieu Dinh Le pledged to use the funds for the right purposes, transparently and effectively. The province aims to eliminate 7,115 temporary houses in 2025, with a total cost of 371 billion VND.

Currently, 1,959 houses have been completed, 1,714 are under construction and the remaining 3,412 houses will start construction before May 19, and all will be completed before September 30, 2025.
At the ceremony, the Ministry of Public Security presented 20 gifts to families receiving support funds to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses; presented gifts to forces participating in supporting people in building houses.
On the same day, the new house of Mr. To Luc Len (Duc Long commune, Hoa An district) was inaugurated after 18 days of construction, with an area of 63 m2, with a total cost of more than 100 million VND from many support sources and family counterpart funds. The new spacious house helps his family escape the scene of a makeshift, dilapidated house.
