On February 5, a working delegation of the Border Guard Command led by Major General Hoang Huu Chien, Deputy Commander, Chief of Staff, made a working trip, visited, wished Tet, and presented gifts to the government, army, and people in Nam Du archipelago, Kien Hai special zone, An Giang province.
Working at Nam Du Border Guard Station, the unit commander reported on the security and order situation in the sea and island area under the unit's responsibility. Outstanding results that officers and soldiers of the unit have achieved in 2025. Tet care for people, spring activities and plans to protect the area during Tet.
The Deputy Commander, Chief of Staff acknowledged and highly appreciated the achievements and efforts of the entire unit. Requesting that in the time before, during and after the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026, the unit should continue to focus on leading the synchronous implementation of Border Guard work measures. Grasp the situation in the area, maintain security and order, prevent and combat all kinds of crimes, vehicles, and guests entering and leaving the island, especially foreign tourists. Good coordination with forces, authorities and organizations to perform tasks and organize Tet celebrations. Ensure regimes for officers and soldiers in the unit. Check weapons, equipment, and vehicles to handle all situations well. During the Tet holidays, the unit is required to focus on duty tasks, strengthen coordination in patrols and inspections to protect the safety of the area. Must stick to the people, stick to the area, take care of the people and take care of soldiers to celebrate Tet peacefully, warmly, and economically.

Representing the Party Committee of the Command, Major General Hoang Huu Chien presented Tet gifts, sent wishes for health and happiness to all officers and soldiers of the An Giang Provincial Border Guard and Nam Du Border Guard Station; presented gifts to forces and authorities in the Nam Du archipelago area. On this occasion, the Provincial Border Guard Command also had Tet gifts for the government and soldiers on the island.
Attending the "Border Spring warms people's hearts" program in 2026 organized by Nam Du Border Guard Station, Major General Hoang Huu Chien represented and presented 70 Tet gifts from the Command to policy households, poor households, and children in difficult circumstances.

Previously, the Deputy Commander, Chief of Staff, along with the working delegation, specialized agencies, design and construction units, went to conduct a final inspection of the quality of the project and construction progress to hand it over to the Border Guard Command of An Giang province and put the wharf at Nam Du Border Guard Station into use.
