On February 3rd and 4th, the working delegation of the Party Committee of the Border Guard Command of An Giang province visited, wished Tet, and presented gifts to officers, soldiers, local authorities, and families of former Commanders of the Provincial Border Guard. The delegation was led by Colonel Nguyen Van Hiep, Deputy Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command, Political Commissar of the Provincial Border Guard Command.
At the Border Guard stations, Colonel Nguyen Van Hiep listened to commanders of units report on the Tet duty situation, the work of taking care of soldiers and people to enjoy spring. The work of sticking to and grasping the area, fighting and preventing all kinds of crimes before, during and after the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026. After giving Tet gifts, Colonel Nguyen Van Hiep cordially inquired and encouraged the spirit of officers and soldiers of units and sent New Year greetings and words of gratitude to the families and relatives of the comrades. They are the rear, a solid support for comrades to feel secure in their work in remote border, sea and island areas.
Colonel Nguyen Van Hiep noted that all units, stations, groups, and posts need to be highly vigilant, in the spirit of celebrating spring without forgetting tasks. Raise awareness in the process of performing tasks, not to be passive or surprised by any situation. Ensure on-duty and shift personnel, how to protect the safety of the area, so that people can happily welcome a complete spring. It is necessary to care for and create conditions for officers in the unit to return to celebrate spring with their families in accordance with regulations. Uphold the spirit of solidarity, being united from top to bottom, always ensuring meals for soldiers during Tet days. The commander must be on duty on important days, organize entertainment, cultural, and sports activities with local organizations. Strictly implement regulations, absolutely comply with regulations on using beer and alcohol in agencies and units and must ensure traffic safety.
Visiting, wishing Tet, and giving gifts to local authorities, Colonel Nguyen Van Hiep happily announced that in 2025, the unit has successfully completed all tasks. Together with forces, local authorities build and firmly protect sovereignty and territorial integrity. Do a good job of preventing and combating IUU fishing, drug crime, smuggling, illegal entry and exit, counterfeit goods, and fake goods. The lives of ethnic minorities in border and island areas have been improved. Especially in the past year, border guard units have effectively implemented programs and models towards poor people. They have successfully organized the "Border Spring warms people's hearts", "Military-civilian Tet" program in 2026.
Colonel Nguyen Van Hiep emphasized: To achieve the above results, it is thanks to the concern, assistance, coordination, and creation of conditions by the government, unions, and forces for the Border Guard Command to complete its tasks. Believing that entering the new year 2026, communes, wards, special border areas, seas, and islands will continue to have concern and support in terms of human and material resources, adding strength for the Border Guard force to complete its tasks in the new period.
