Vice Chairman of Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee Pham Van Thinh has just signed a document agreeing on the policy of adding 2 resettlement areas to serve the Gia Binh International Airport Project and related projects.
The first resettlement area is in Dai Lai commune with an area of about 43.5 ha; the second area is in Trung Chinh and Luong Tai communes with an area of about 122 ha.
Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee assigned Bac Ninh Provincial Civil and Urban Development Project Management Board No. 2 to organize the detailed planning of the above-mentioned resettlement areas in accordance with regulations.
At the same time, relevant departments, branches and localities coordinate and guide the implementation, ensuring progress and legal regulations.
Recently, Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee issued a special policy on compensation when the State recovers land to deploy Gia Binh International Airport, applied from March 10. The policy applies to households and individuals with land in the recovered area in 4 communes Gia Binh, Luong Tai, Nhan Thang and Lam Thao.
In addition to a residential land plot in the resettlement area, they are also compensated for an additional 1-3 land plots if needed. The additionally allocated plots have a maximum area of 100 m2 per plot, located in the detailed land subdivision plan in the project's resettlement area and the State collects land use fees.
The condition is that with a total recovered area of 300-600 m2, they are considered for allocation of a maximum land plot. With an area of 600-900 m2 and over 900 m2, the limit is considered for allocation of two and three plots respectively.
In case households have many generations or many married couples living together on one land plot, if they meet the conditions to separate into separate households, they will be considered for land allocation or housing purchase support according to the 2024 Land Law.
Gia Binh International Airport project with a total capital of more than 196,000 billion VND, was approved for investment policy by the National Assembly in December 2025.
The project is identified as having strategic significance in reducing the load on Noi Bai airport, while opening up new development space for the East and Northeast of the Capital; the expected capacity will reach 30 million passengers and 1.6 million tons of cargo per year by 2030. This airport can increase its capacity to 50 million passengers and 2.5 million tons of cargo by 2050.
