According to the Ministry of Construction's Electronic Information Portal, the Ministry has just sent an official dispatch to the National Assembly's Committee for Petitions and Supervision; The Hue City National Assembly Delegation responded to voters' petitions sent after the first session of the 16th National Assembly regarding the early completion of the expansion of the Cam Lo - La Son expressway.
Accordingly, the Ministry of Construction received a petition from voters about the fact that currently, the Cam Lo - La Son expressway is being expanded to 4 lanes to ensure standards and safety on the expressway. During the construction period, heavy-tonnage vehicles and passenger cars have to move down National Highway 1A through Hue city, causing congestion and overload on this route.
According to voters, the construction and expansion of the expressway is still slow. Therefore, voters proposed that the Ministry of Construction direct relevant units to urge and accelerate the construction of the expressway to be completed soon and put into use in the near future to reduce traffic pressure on National Highway 1A (section through Hue city).

After studying, the Ministry of Construction responded to voters' petitions as follows:
The project to expand the North-South expressway in the East, Cam Lo - La Son section, is being implemented to gradually complete the transportation network in the area according to the plan, promote the role of the North-South economic corridor connecting with localities, ensuring synchronization and modernity;
Improve the exploitation capacity, ensure traffic safety of the Cam Lo - La Son expressway and promote the efficiency of the North - South expressway in the East, creating motivation to promote socio-economic development, contributing to ensuring regional security and defense; promote the potential and strengths of Hue city in particular and provinces in the North Central region and the Central coast in general.
The Ministry of Construction clearly recognizes that accelerating the completion of the Project is of great significance in order to put the project into operation soon, reduce the load on National Highway 1A, improve transport capacity, and ensure traffic safety.
Over the past time, the Ministry of Construction has repeatedly organized field inspections and directly worked with the Investor, contractors and local authorities to direct the removal of difficulties and accelerate the project implementation progress.
At the same time, the Ministry has issued many Directives, Telegrams and Conclusion Notices to request units to maximize resources, strengthen human resources and equipment, organize multi-pronged and multi-shift construction, and maximize favorable weather conditions to compensate for the delayed progress, striving to basically complete the Project according to the plan in 2026.
Up to now, according to the Investor's report, the project site still has some locations that need to be further focused on handling, especially the TL12B intersection area (Hue city).
The Ministry of Construction has requested the Investor to closely coordinate with local authorities to urgently complete site clearance work, and at the same time proactively organize construction immediately at locations where there is already land to avoid affecting the overall progress of the Project.
In the coming time, the Ministry of Construction will strengthen inspection and urging of investors, consultants and contractors to focus maximum resources, organize scientific construction, and work continuously according to the set schedule; promptly handle arising difficulties and obstacles; and at the same time strictly control the quality of the project, labor safety, and traffic safety to soon put the project into operation, reduce traffic pressure on National Highway 1A through Hue city, meeting the expectations of voters and people.
The Ministry of Construction requests the Hue City National Assembly Delegation to pay attention, support, and give opinions to the people and local authorities to soon complete the project site clearance work to meet the required progress.
