On July 6, the Ho Chi Minh Road Project Management Board announced the ban on all vehicles (except vehicles serving construction) circulating on the Cam Lo - La Son expressway in the time frame from 5 pm to 5 am the next morning, starting from July 10, 2026 until further notice.
The traffic ban is to serve the project to expand the North-South expressway in the East, Cam Lo - La Son section, and at the same time ensure traffic safety during construction.
The project was approved for investment policy by the Prime Minister in October 2024, the Ministry of Construction approved the project in May 2025 and started construction on December 19, 2025.
Currently, contractors are simultaneously deploying many items, having to dismantle the sign system, corrugated iron guardrails and narrow the road surface to expand the route. In conditions of limited night vision, vehicles often travel at high speeds, posing a potential risk of traffic unsafety.
According to the plan approved by the Ho Chi Minh Road Project Management Board, during the ban period, vehicles will be diverted to existing roads.
