Caring for ethnic minorities in difficulty
After implementing the 2-level local government model, the People's Committee of Buon Don commune has focused on taking care of the lives of disadvantaged people, especially poor, near-poor ethnic minority households and those who do not have stable jobs.
To help people rise up and develop the economy, the commune coordinates with relevant units to open vocational training classes. In the last months of 2025, more than 30 poor households (accounting for 50% of the class) have been able to access and attend training courses on buffalo and cow breeding.

Ms. H'Vung Bya (26 years old, living in Buon Don commune) has not had a stable job, her family has been a poor household for many years.
Her biggest wish is to have a job and an income to rise up like her peers. At her age, many people in the area have a comfortable life with spacious houses and adequate means of transportation.
"Realizing that my family was in difficulty, the local government encouraged me to study animal husbandry. I find this an easy-to-learn profession, easy to apply in practice. After finishing school, I was determined to develop household livestock farming so as not to fall behind" - Ms. H'Vung shared.

In the 2 livestock training classes in the fourth quarter of 2025, many students are young, have no orientation, and some still rely on the support of the State. When encouraged to learn a trade, everyone was eager to change their lives and wanted to escape poverty.
Changing the face of rural areas
According to the People's Committee of Buon Don commune, thanks to resources from the National Target Program, many rural workers have been trained in agricultural occupations in recent years.
Most students after graduation have created jobs or found suitable jobs, helping many poor and near-poor households improve their lives and gradually become well-off.

Thanks to that, the appearance of villages and hamlets has gradually changed as their income has become more stable, people have the conditions to renovate their houses and buy means of living, creating a clear prosperity in ethnic minority areas.
One of the important factors that helps vocational training work to be effective is the connection between the Vocational Education - Continuing Education Center with the actual needs of the labor market.

Mr. Le Thanh Son - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Buon Don commune - said: "Before opening the class, training institutions coordinate with local authorities to survey needs and determine appropriate occupations. Thanks to that, people can easily access and grasp knowledge".
Mr. Son emphasized that the change is still clearly visible in the process of building new rural areas. When people have a job, many localities have completed the criteria on income, employment and poverty reduction.
Thereby, contributing to changing the face of rural areas towards spaciousness, dynamism and sustainable development.
