There are still many difficulties and problems
Buon Don is a border commune of Dak Lak province, with the largest natural area in the country at 1,113.79km2. This is also considered the "heart" of Yok Don National Park - the most famous and largest special-use capua forest in Vietnam.
This area is home to many ethnic minorities such as E De, M'ong, Laos... with unique traditional cultural values.

However, most of the villages are located far from the center, with difficult transportation, causing many obstacles in opening on-site vocational training classes for rural workers. The work of announcing enrollment and mobilizing people to attend classes often takes a lot of time and money.
harsh weather conditions and specific living habits also cause many courses to take longer than expected or to be interrupted, affecting training progress. In addition, the fear of vocational training still exists in some people.

Many workers are familiar with traditional agricultural production and follow their experience. Many poor and near-poor households depend on monthly allowances, so they do not believe that vocational training can improve their income.
According to the People's Committee of Buon Don commune, these are the reasons why vocational training in the area is still facing many difficulties. Although the commune has made the most of resources, including the national target program, the results achieved are still not as expected.

Diversifying training majors
At the Center for Vocational Education - Continuing Education of Buon Don, there are currently only two teachers specializing in vocational training for rural workers.
Meanwhile, to open more classes and diversify training majors, the center really needs to add a team of teachers with practical experience and dedication to teaching.

Mr. Ha Ngoc Huong - Director of the Center for Vocational Education - Continuing Education of Buon Don - said that to improve the effectiveness of vocational training for rural workers, it is necessary to first promote the survey of vocational training needs in each hamlet and village.
Buon Don commune has a large area, so it is necessary to innovate propaganda methods to change people's thinking and awareness of the meaning of vocational training.
"In the coming time, the center will coordinate with local authorities to study the potential and strengths of each field to open new vocational training classes. The occupations will closely follow market demand, helping students have more options and increase opportunities to find jobs after training," Mr. Huong emphasized.
