Nguyen Dinh Chieu Bridge is built in Ly Van Lam ward, a project to celebrate the 51st anniversary of the Liberation of the South, national reunification and the 140th anniversary of International Labor Day.
At the bridge commencement ceremony, the investor unit said that the Project has a total length of more than 2.5km, of which the bridge section is 286m long, 18m wide with 7 spans. The road section includes upgrading and expanding the Nguyen Dinh Chieu route and building a new section from Huynh Thuc Khang street to Ca Mau - Dam Doi street. The project has its starting point at National Highway 1, the ending point connecting to Ca Mau - Dam Doi street, implemented in the 2024 - 2027 period.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Mr. Lam Van Bi - Standing Vice Chairman of Ca Mau Provincial People's Committee - said that this is an important traffic project that people in Ly Van Lam ward, Hoa Thanh ward and the whole province have been waiting for for many years.
According to Mr. Bi, when completed, the bridge will eliminate the distance between the two wards being divided by the Ganh Hao River, creating convenience for people to travel, especially serving the needs of medical examination and treatment at Ca Mau Provincial General Hospital with a scale of 1,200 beds, which is being accelerated in construction progress.
On the same day, in Hung Hoi commune, Ca Mau Provincial People's Committee inaugurated the Project to upgrade the Provincial Social Protection Center phase 2 with a total investment of more than 68 billion VND from the central and local budgets.

The project is built on an area of nearly 33,000m2, meeting the scale to serve 250 subjects, including nursing homes for the elderly, orphans, people with disabilities, mentally ill people and many synchronous auxiliary items.
Vice Chairman of Ca Mau Provincial People's Committee Ngo Vu Thang emphasized that the project put into use will improve conditions for care, nurturing and functional rehabilitation for vulnerable groups, contributing to completing the social security network in the province.
